Where to go and what to do
Be sure to visit the Maranhão’s dam which is just 10 minutes away from Monte do Poejo.
The beach has the Blue Flag Award and it’s one of the main tourist attractions of the region. Here you can spend an unforgettable afternoon with your family!
It has several support services: a Nautical Club with a hangar, a floating pier, a ski school with a jump track, a restaurant, picnic area, children's playground, toilets, swimming pool and parking. You can also go hiking, mountain biking and quad biking.

Herdade do Mouchão
We highly recommend this visit because it is the perfect place for an amazing wine tasting experience!

This Herdade’s family planted several plots of vines and in 1901 built a traditional winery, with thick mud-bricks, whitewashed walls and roofed in Portuguese tiles. It is thought that they have imported the first Alicante Bouschet vines from France.
Herdade da Cortesia
Looking for a place to end a perfect day?
You cannot go without a perfect sunset with a glass of wine in this Herdade. The best place to feel grateful while enjoying the amazing views that Alentejo has to offer.
R. do Comércio 6, Santo António de Alcorrego

Located in Santo António de Alcórrego, right next to Avis. It is undoubtedly an excellent representative of Alentejo’s food, serving a magnificent stewed partridge, a tasty lamb stew and delicious fillets of cockerel fish.
R. 1º de Maio 28, Santo António de Alcorrego

Very close to Tasca do Montinho is the Taberna do Paulo, which has the best tomato soup and the best veal stew you will ever eat. And also other typical dishes of the region, such as black pork, oven-roasted lamb and Alentejo-style chickpea stew.
